Der perfekte Einstieg ins Padel – Was du wirklich brauchst

The perfect introduction to padel – what you really need

There is no sport that is currently more popular and is spreading faster around the world.

If you know it and can play it, you will definitely be an eye-catcher.

The fastest growing lifestyle sport that brings friends together and makes exercise fun is PADEL .

The world is becoming increasingly active, and running communities are now plentiful. Everyone is building a supposedly athletic lifestyle.

But whether it's really that much fun to rack up kilometer after kilometer is questionable.

However, a sport that brings you a real lifestyle and a trendy sport, fun in the game and a lot of variety instead of just running around in circles, is “ PADEL ”.

Padel is currently the hottest sport and is becoming more and more popular in Germany.

In this blog I would like to tell you more about what this sport entails.

  1. What is Padel anyway?
  2. What equipment do I need?
  3. How do I start?

    IMPORTANT:

I'll go into more detail and depth on each of these points in future blogs. This is a blog/newsletter for anyone who wants to get started with and learn a true lifestyle sport that's challenging and rewarding.

    What is Padel anyway?

Padel combines the best of tennis and squash.

The reason for this is that padel is played on a court that resembles a tennis court and consists of glass walls that surround the court, similar to squash.

The field is smaller than a tennis court and is significantly faster due to the play with the cushions.

However, you don't need a professional background to enjoy padel. And that's exactly what makes padel so unique.

Padel is about community, having fun playing sports and developing the automatic ambition to want to improve.

    What equipment you really need

    • The right racket:
Light, agile and adapted to your playing style.
You can also easily rent and test it in any padel box for a small fee.
(Spoiler - a detailed blog about the right padel racket will follow soon)

    • Outfit:
      Functionality meets style.
Padel is based on tennis, but with a more relaxed approach.
So you don't have to strut out onto the pitch in an expensive polo shirt, but you can also make your mark on the pitch with a neat, clean shirt with a cool print.

    • Shoes:
Choose grippy soles for maximum performance.
Padel is usually played on an artificial turf court.
For this reason, you don't have to worry about the red clay like you do in tennis.
However, you should not choose indoor shoes that are too slippery for your match.
A good all-rounder sports shoe is perfectly sufficient to start with. Please make sure they're clean, though.

    • Accessories:
A water bottle, bags and, in winter, a cool sweater to warm up in – essential for making a good first impression on the pitch.

    Focus on the next shot

Just like the game, getting started is all about taking one step at a time.

    “One Point at a Time”

    – focus on the next shot, not on the mistakes.

    This is our Matra.

Not just for sports, but also for life.

    Very important:
The sport is meant to be fun, and ideally with your favorite padel partners. The game is too fast and demanding for you to convert every shot into a point.

It would be too good to be true if you won every game 0-0. But it would also get pretty boring at some point.

Padel is more than a sport – it is a way of life.
